Kids are not welcomed in many Vegas shows except those with magicians, Mystere or Love cirque, etc., and there are no discounts.

It depends on the ages of your children and what you mean by “shows”. Las Vegas shows aren’t free but you can get discounted tickets from the booths along the strip. I normally use tix4tonite situated outside Fashion Show Mall and under the giant Coke bottle next to the MGM Grand (they also have other locations).

As for totally free shows (if you can call them shows – they are very short) you can:-

Go to Circus Circus for free circus acts during the day
    Watch the fountains of Bellagio
See the Sirens of TI (outside Treasure Island)
See the show in the sky at the Rio

These are just a few examples but I hope you will find them useful.

A great show is Mac King at Harrahs. It is an afternoon show and great for kids. You may find free tickets around town and definitely two for one coupons. Check out http://www.vegas.com for family things to do.

The statue animetronic show at the Forum Shops in Ceasars is great for kids and free. Most things free around Vegas is ok for kids.

There are many wonderful and interesting places in Las Vegas where you can go & visit for free with your kids, such as,The Aquarium at the Silverton, Bellagio’s Botanical Garden, World’s Largest Permanent Circus at Circus Circus, and Streetmosphere at Venetian or you can pay a small fee and visit the World’s largest and finest classic car showroom 125,000 sq. feet The Auto Collection at Imperial Palace. If your kids like shopping, there are many large shopping malls like Las Vegas Outlet Center to beautiful Town Square. As far as discounted tickets in Vegas, you might want to try Tix4Ticket, where you pay half for same-day tickets. They have 4 locations on the Strip and one Downtown. I usually visit this informative website: http://www.going-lasvegas.com/ to get most of my information on where to go and shop in Las Vegas. Good Luck and have a great time with your family in Las Vegas!
